Equality Awards

Since 1998, the best gender equality plans have been rewarded by the Minister for Equality and the Ombudsman for Equality in Finland.

The Equality Award has been received by the following communities:

• 2004 Octel Ltd and K-Supermarket Raisio Center (Communication of 8 March 2004)
• 2002 The Town of Jämsä and Valmet Automotive Ltd
• 2000 Lappeenranta University of Technology and Fazer Suklaa Ltd
• 1999 Stora Enso Plc's Imatra Works, the Police Department of the Ministry of the Interior and the Finnish broadcasting company Yleisradio
• 1998 Valmet Plc's Rautpohja Works, Cultor Ltd, Finnair Ltd, Merita Pankki, the University of Oulu and Tampere Philharmonic Orchestra.
